The oldest and largest Aboriginal resource agency in the Kimberley, Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation's primary aim is to provide support services to existing and emerging groups in the Fitzroy Valley and to assist them to develop strong and sustainable communities and organisations.

Marra Worra Worra's focus is to work with Bunuba, Gooniyandi, Wangkatjungka, Walmajarri and Nyikina to strengthen culture, support community and create sustainable solutions for the valley. It employs more than 70 local people and provides a number of support services including housing, employment, community development and other elements connected to self determination. With approximately 650 registered members, Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation provides a forum through which people of the region discuss and act on issues of common concern.

Job description/overview

The Chief executive officer's primary purpose is to provide strategic and operational management of Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation and its subsidiary entities. Crucial to the role is the ability to build and model a cohesive and healthy staff culture, develop external relationships, drive organisation growth, and maintain a strong relationship with the board of directors. Key responsibilities and targets are established around the core functions of governance, leadership, relationships, strategic planning, business development, resource management, financial management, risk management, workplace health & safety, and brand awareness.
