Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (BNTAC) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate for the Banjima People, who received a determination of Native Title on 11 March 2014.

BNTAC's key responsibilities include protecting and maintaining Banjima people’s native title rights and interests, ensuring good governance practices are maintained and that traditional decision-making and Banjima law and culture are at the core of the organisation.

BNTAC’s strategic priorities encompass three core areas creating strong and healthy families, the maintenance of strong culture and connection to the country for future generations and ensuring Banjima People have a strong voice and access to opportunities that provide them with the capacity to shape and lead their own destinies.

Job description/overview

The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and strategic direction within the organisation on behalf of the board of directors. You will manage our human, legal, financial, technical, funding and marketing resources to ensure that all executed plans are aligned with our organisational vision. This will involve managing competing priorities from a variety of stakeholders and ensuring all decisions are impartial, unbiased, and in the commercial interest of BNTAC.

You will also implement a succession plan for a trainee CEO who will be a member of the Banjima community. This is to ensure the longevity of the organisation while also contributing to the overall BNTAC vision of empowering Banjima people to shape and lead their own destinies. Although this role will primarily be based in our office in Perth, it is expected that the successful candidate will travel to Banjima country and other areas where Banjima people reside as required.
