Queensland South Native Title Services (QSNTS) was established in 2005 as a company limited by guarantee to be the native title service provider for Queensland’s southern and western regions, performing statutory functions prescribed under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) to assist Traditional Owners in pursuit of their native title aspirations. QSNTS’ region of responsibility is one of the largest in Australia, spanning from Mount Isa in the west to the eastern coast north of Marlborough and down to the state’s southern border.
About the board of directors: QSNTS is governed by a highly dedicated and experienced board of directors that promotes a culture of inclusion, valuing individual strengths, perspectives and experiences. It is responsible for governance, including financial sustainability and risk, strategic direction, and oversight of the activities of QSNTS consistent with statutory obligations. The board is further committed to respecting diversity that enriches decision-making to deliver better outcomes for Indigenous Australians.

Looking for a meaningful role that allows you to make a difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? Look no further than the board of directors at QSNTS!
The board is currently seeking to appoint up to an additional two (2) voluntary board members to strengthen its team and to complement the current balance of skills and experience of Directors – to ensure it continues to address the future needs of the organisation, to provide for effective succession and to continue to deliver the best possible outcomes for First Nations People. It is an exciting time to join the board, particularly with the significant legislative reform on the agenda for Indigenous communities. As a director, you'll provide strategic direction to QSNTS, helping to provide native title services to Indigenous communities in Southern Queensland. You'll also work to enhance the capacity of Traditional Owners to maintain their rights and interests, and reform the native title system through advocacy and better practices. We're looking for passionate individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on Indigenous communities.
