Oonah Health and Community Services Aboriginal Corporation (Oonah) exists to establish a welcoming and culturally affirming place in Healesville that provides a central point of contact for community members, both Indigenous and non-Indigenous, for information, services and programs that are focused on building a healthy, strong and skilled Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community recognising the diversity in Melbourne’s Outer East.
The board is seeking a driven and dynamic Chief executive officer (CEO) with health, advocacy, and funding experience to lead the delivery of community development projects and health initiatives to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Melbourne’s Outer East.

Job description/overview:
The primary purpose of the position is to work collaboratively with the board, stakeholders and the community to achieve Oonah's strategic plan and vision of working towards a healthy, strong and skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community recognising the diversity in Melbourne's Outer East. The position will oversee and manage Oonah's operations to ensure the delivery of integrated programs of health, well-being, education and employment services within a cultural framework of respect, caring and sharing.
The successful candidate will lead the organisation through the next phase of growth including a major infrastructure development project and will engage and advocate regularly with both state and federal governments to enable growth and secure ongoing support for critical programs and initiatives.
